The Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Maine MEP) provides training and technical assistance to small and medium-sized manufacturing firms in Maine. Started in 1989, and partially sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Maine MEP offers access to a national network of programs and services that provide assistance to manufacturers interested in increased productivity and growth. Field Representatives from the Maine MEP are located throughout the State and can provide technical assistance to companies to help improve their competitiveness. The assistance may be furnished directly by Maine MEP or through a qualified consultant with the project managed by Maine MEP. Assistance is provided in the following areas:
