Sanford Institution for Savings (SIS) is a Mutual Savings Bank founded in 1933. Our charter stipulates that we are owned by our deposit customers. Every person or business with a checking, savings, money market account or CD is a part owner of this bank. Therefore, we exist to meet our customers’ needs, not the needs of stock investors.
