The Maine Grocers Association was started in 1935 and has continued to this day, representing people in the food industry in a number of ways. The purpose of the Maine Grocers Association is to assist its members in providing grocery services and products. We accomplish that goal through a variety of means, including legislative and regulatory representation to make sure that lawmakers are familiar with the realities of the food service/ grocery business. We represent all segments of the industry: convenience stores, supermarkets, suppliers and manufacturers, and others who service this industry. Our objective is to make it easier for you to do your job and to do that in ways that are meaningful and fun for you!
