The Maine Comprehensive Economic Development Database is an on-line resource for retrieving and searching a wide range of information. Its two primary purposes are to 1) provide organizations with information that is helpful in making decisions on where to locate, and 2) serve as a source of information for a broad spectrum of economic development and business assistance activities. The database was prepared by the Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) as part of Maine's Labor Force Analysis Project. The prototype phase of this project was funded in 1999 by the Mid-State Economic Development Corporation and the Northern Maine Development Commission. Ongoing funding of the full-scale implementation of this project has come from Maine's Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). |
